To what dance association do the McGovern Ceili Dancers belong?
The McGovern Ceili Dancers belong to the National Dance Association of Ireland, Cumann Rince Naisiunta (pronounced koo-mun, rin-ka, now-shun-tuh)  or simply referred as "CRN."  Info about CRN can be found at www.crn.ie

What is the focus of CRN?
The focus of CRN leans toward a very traditional style of Irish dance with compulsory material that all students must master in order to progress to the next level. All CRN sanctioned schools have the same compulsory material, no matter where the school might be located. This provides a unique benefit to the dancer, no matter where their travels might take them. If they meet another person with a CRN background, they already have something in common. Together, through the common language of Irish dance, they can dance the same dances. With all this attention on the traditional forms of Irish dance, there is also much freedom and flexibility to experience and perform the more contemporary style in which Irish dance has evolved in both CRN dance competitions as well as public exhibitions

Is the Irish dance instructor, Shelagh McGovern, married?
No, she is not married... but we are keeping our fingers crossed that she finds that right guy soon!
